located on a hillside 80 meters above the Dordogne valley

with the forest protecting the vineyard

vines are planted very dense at about 5000 vines per hectar

biodynamic in the vineyard & in the cellar

native yeast

direct pressing

short maceration

fermentation in steel tanks

15% of the merlot is whole bunch fermented

aged in old barrels (7-8 years) for 6 months sulfite free

Tasting Notes:

bright ruby color with a clarity I find in naturally made wines red plums, bing cherries & hints of night blossoms spices compliment the mint notes & tannins of the Cabernet Sauvignon tannins and acidity play nicely leaving me wanting more of this delicious juicy wine. — Owen Kotler Wines
